The Living Room

Who We Are

Radically inclusive. Unapologetically human.

“At The Living Room, our mission is to create a radically safe, inclusive space for healing where individuals and communities are seen, supported, and empowered. We prioritize care that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and rooted in authenticity. By nurturing the well-being of both clients and clinicians, we cultivate a sustainable, compassionate ecosystem where healing and growth can thrive—for everyone.”

The Living Room?

Living rooms are often the center of the home. The place where we socialize, find solitude, relax and make memories. Living rooms are often a reflection of the people who use them. Living rooms can also hold trauma memories for those who grew up in homes where there was more “surviving” than “living.”

The Living Room is a place where healing happens. It is a place for growing. Most of all, it is a place where people can find themselves “living” again. The Living Room is a safe place for ALL people who embody kindness. We are an unapologetically inclusive space and strive to provide services to everyone — including strategically underrepresented groups who struggle to find wellness support in Springfield and the surrounding area.

Everyone deserves to be their authentic selves. Don’t hesitate to reach out and see if we can help you today.

What makes TLR different?

Springfield has no shortage of therapists. What it has a shortage of is spaces that genuinely center people who've been historically underserved by mental health care — BIPOC communities, queer and trans individuals, those navigating non-traditional relationships, neurodivergent people, and anyone who's walked into a therapy office and felt like they had to edit themselves just to be understood.

TLR was built to close that gap. Our healers bring lived experience alongside their credentials. The practice is structured around full clinician autonomy and a culture that genuinely takes care of the people doing the caring. When clinicians feel supported, clients feel it too.
