Ashley Koch

I am Ashley Koch. I am an artist and have an interest in all of the arts, whether it’s painting, drawing, photography, cartooning, poetry, writing, or knitting, and am open to exploring more. Previously, I lived in Joplin, MO and have experienced the aftermath of the 2011 tornado, which inspired me to become a therapist. One day, I had a thought to combine the arts with therapy and decided to become an expressive arts therapist.

Later on, I moved to Springfield, MO to expand my education and career as an expressive art therapist. My undergraduate is at Missouri State University with a Bachelor's of Science and I am a current graduate student at Ottawa University earning my Masters of Counseling with a concentration in Expressive Art Therapy. As an artist, I want to bring the arts into therapeutic practice to help individuals express, process, and heal in a unique way. I believe that the arts can express what words cannot and help heal the inner self.
