Brittany Pratt, PsyD

Hello! I'm a licensed psychologist with more than ten years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan.

I enjoy working with gifted and high-achieving people:

  • The kiddo who has a hard time making friends because of their advanced vocabulary, narrow interests, and social anxiety.

  • The student with the perfect GPA and extracurricular resume who seems like the golden child. What most people don’t see is that they forget to eat, don’t sleep, and are one bad debate round away from a total meltdown.

  • The physician, attorney, or business owner who is used to long days, hard work, and thriving in challenging situations. They have difficulty connecting with their family and can't relax or have fun. They are depressed, irritable, anxious, and are showing signs of burnout.

I create a supportive space for clients to navigate life transitions:

  • The kiddo who is just starting school and can't sit still, can't seem to stay out of trouble, and is wondering if they're a bad kid.

  • The bright college student who never had to study and thrived in a structured environment, but now can't get to class on time, turn in a paper, or remember challenging material on a test. They've never been this far from home and their support network before.

  • The "former" athlete who is discovering their identity and sense of purpose outside of their sport or their team.

  • The parent who has loved building their family and running their household and wonders how they lost their sense of self along the way. When did it start to feel selfish to take care of themselves or to do what they enjoy?

  • The retiree who can't sit still and feels antsy to “just do something” now that they’re not working, or the empty nesters who wonder when their partner changed so much… or maybe they are the one who changed?

I have experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and humans seeking a spiritually open-minded therapist. All are welcome here.

My theoretical orientation is grounded in third-wave cognitive behavioral interventions (think CBT, DBT, ACT). Though we might have some structured exercises for “stinkin’ thinkin’” and behavior changes, we also play together. Humans of all ages can benefit from processing thoughts and feelings through games, stories, art, movement, and humor. I invite you to co-create this healing space together.
