Julie Batson, LCSW

Many people come to counseling feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the people around them. My role is to offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying. I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience supporting adults through PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and major life transitions.

For over 15 years, I served as a PTSD therapist with the VA, working closely with combat Veterans and survivors of Military Sexual Trauma. This experience deeply shaped my trauma‑informed approach and my commitment to creating an environment where every person feels respected, heard, and safe.

I draw from evidence‑based therapies—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD—to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that influence your life, identify your strengths, and build practical skills that support healing and resilience.

During our first sessions, we’ll take time to get to know each other, clarify what you’re hoping for, and begin gently working through the emotions and experiences that brought you here. My goal is to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.

Healing is a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
