Katherine Kordes, plpc

Hello! I’m Katherine Kordes, MS PLPC. I have been working with clients since 2022. My own mental health journey has motivated me to become an active advocate for speaking on our mental health. My passion for mental health and its importance has always held a special place in my heart, leading me to pursue a career dedicated to helping others. I believe everyone deserves to have a space where they know they can be genuine and feel supported, so I do my best to make sure that the therapeutic space  safe.

I believe in the importance of being true to oneself. I encourage my clients to be themselves in the therapeutic space as there can be great healing in releasing ourselves from the different masks we may wear throughout the day. Whether we are wearing a mask to get through a trial in our lives, a traumatic event from years ago, or to cope with an ongoing issue, we should all have a space where we can all be ourselves. I believe we are all worthy of respect, so I strive to provide an inclusive space for all

My specialties are trauma processing, sexual abuse, grief, and self-esteem building. I work with ages 4 and up, using different modalities such as person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and some family systems! Whether you want to focus on some expressive arts, play, or talk therapy, I am here to embark on a journey of healing with you!
