About Dr. Chelsea Gilliam, PsyD
Dr. Chelsea Gilliam is a clinical psychologist and the owner of The Living Room, a wellness center in Rogersville, MO, dedicated to providing inclusive and accessible therapy services. With a master’s degree in mental health counseling and a doctorate in clinical psychology, Dr. Gilliam brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. She is passionate about understanding the complexities of the human experience and takes an integrative approach to therapy, seeking to understand the whole person she is working with. Her primary theoretical orientation is interpersonal, and she has extensive experience treating a range of behavioral health conditions across the lifespan. Her sub-interests include chronic disease management, women's issues, shame, PTSD, and sports psychology. Dr. Gilliam is committed to helping her clients find meaning and purpose in their lives, believing in every individual’s potential for growth and transformation. Since May 2023, she has focused on addressing gaps in care resulting from systemic challenges and health disparities in her community. Prior to this, she served as the Director of Medical Partnerships at Burrell Behavioral Health, facilitating medical collaborations and supervising behavioral health integration since August 2018. As the Primary Clinical Supervisor at the National Psychology Training Consortium, she guides doctoral interns and leads training initiatives across diverse medical settings. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Gilliam is an advocate for inclusivity and diversity, serving on the boards of PFLAG and NAMI to champion the rights and well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals and their families, as well as mental health awareness and support in the community. Identifying as a secular pagan witch, Dr. Gilliam focuses on restorative healing, energy work, and divination. She finds joy in playing with crystals and gazing at the moon. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, she founded and hosted a local Red Tent Women’s Circle to provide a space for women to connect and support one another. Though this gathering was disrupted, she continues to offer moon circles and workshops, helping witches create their own divination tools. With a professional philosophy that emphasizes the importance of humor and openness, Dr. Gilliam fosters a positive work environment and advocates for the needs of marginalized communities. In her free time, she enjoys international travel, spending time with family, and continuously learning new things. Dr. Gilliam is committed to making a difference in the lives of those she serves and creating a world where everyone feels empowered to embrace their true selves.
