About Kristy Spriggs, LCSW

Hey there! I’m Kristy Spriggs, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides affirming, client-centered, and trauma-informed therapy to adult individuals, ages 18-64, virtually in Oklahoma and Missouri. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, identity development, and life transitions. I particularly enjoy working with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, as both a member and ally, and I am committed to creating a welcoming space where every client can feel seen, respected, and supported. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Missouri Southern State University in 2017. Following graduation, I provided case management services to adults diagnosed with severe and pervasive mental illness at a certified community behavioral health center (CCBHC). While attaining a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University in 2022, I worked in a hospital setting, assisting uninsured patients in applying for Medicaid. I then began providing therapy at another CCBHC while obtaining my clinical license. I bring compassion, authenticity, and a collaborative approach to my work. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful progress, and I view treatment as a team effort. You are driving the car (your life); I’m just helping you navigate. My approach is strengths-based and client-centered, with interventions tailored to each person’s unique needs, values, and goals. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I consider my job both an honor and a privilege, as I get to accompany my clients as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling. My goal is to help improve my clients’ quality of life through empathy and understanding, while providing helpful tools to navigate life’s challenges. I believe everyone deserves to live a happy and satisfying life that is true to them. I look forward to speaking with you to discuss your needs and determine if we would be a good fit.
