About Sylvia Ofori-Yeboah, LCSW

Hi, I'm Sylvia Ofori-Yeboah, LCSW. I became a therapist because I truly believe every person carries strength inside them — sometimes it just takes the right support to help it surface. It would be my privilege to help you find yours. I earned my BSW in 2019 and my MSW from Missouri State University in 2020, and every year since has deepened my love for this work. I'm trained in EMDR and grounded in an Internal Family Systems-informed approach, both of which shape how I show up for the people I work with — with care, curiosity, and respect for each person's pace. I've had the honor of sitting with people across many stages of life — teens, adults, and older adults — and I hold a special place in my heart for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, and for anyone carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, depression, or a life transition that's turned things upside down. I also love working with immigrant and refugee communities, BIPOC individuals, and folks navigating bipolar disorder, self-esteem struggles, and more. Wherever you're coming from, I want you to feel truly seen. My ideal client is simply someone who's willing to show up as they are — no polish required — and open to trying something new in hopes of feeling better. My approach is compassionate, holistic, and strengths-based. Our sessions will be a space where you can bring your full self, without fear of judgment. Whatever you're carrying, I'm here with warmth, understanding, and evidence-based tools tailored just for you.
